About Me

As a licensed clinical psychologist I work with clients with diverse presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, and general life stressors. In addition, I have specialized training in health psychology and women's health. I especially enjoy working with women navigating the perinatal period and the challenges of new motherhood. I strongly believe that a biopsychosocial approach is key to treating the whole person and that treatment of chronic pain and illness must incorporate psychosocial support.

I believe that that therapeutic relationship is built on trust and collaboration which thrives in a warm, authentic, and welcoming environment. I will work with you to help you identify your goals and tailor treatment to your individual strengths. I believe in an individualized approach to therapy and will often integrate multiple evidence-based approaches (including cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, and mindfulness) into individual treatment. I could not effectively attend to your goals for therapy without considering the influence of your and my intersecting cultural identities. I am a LGBTQ+ affirming and sex positive therapist.

Experience

I have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, college counseling centers, primary care clinics, and women's health centers providing both individual and group psychotherapy, assessment, and training. In addition to my clinical work, I have taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and am actively involved in research. The primary goal of my research work is to better understand motivation for health behavior change and I have published multiple manuscripts on this topic.

In addition to my private practice, I am also a Staff Psychologist at Cambridge Health Alliance, a Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospital, in Primary Care Behavioral Health Integration. I provide individual and group psychotherapy,   consultation to physicians/interdisciplinary providers, and training/supervision to medical and psychology interns/residents in a primary care setting. I also hold a faculty appointment as Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
